Top Jailbroken Apps

* Please note that these Apps take hardwork for the people at Cydia and beyond to develop. I would never condone getting cracked versions. I do understand, however, the problems with not having credit cards and not wanting to put your information out there.*

Winterboard- This is the big background app that everyone knows about. For those minority of you that don't though, Winterboard is a an app that adds an overall theme to your ipod touch or iphone. This theme can include a wallpaper in the back, different sounds on the ipod, different icon pictures, different docks, ect. You name it, it can be customized through Winterboard.
SBSettings- This is probably my most used App. It will allow you to slide your finger across the top of your ipod touch screen, and get a list of different settings to use. These range from Brightness to Wifi, and it is customizable. I would recommend this App above all else.
ProSwitcher- THIS APP IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I have not seen an App I have been more happy with in a long time. The point of this App is to be to an interface for the use of the App Backgrounder. The interface looks like the safari internet multi page display on your idevice, only for Applications on it. It does this job better than I could have dreamed of an App doing. Definitley a must download.
Backgrounder- Allows you to run apps in the background. For example, you can listen to Pandora while checking your email. I have never actually been that big into it, but some swear by it.
Barrel - Many of you may have run Ubuntu before. This awesome App gives you a cube like Desktop animation you cannot find anywhere else. It also allows your icons to do any number of cool transitions. This application has easily become my favorite!
SbRotator - Have you ever wished your Springboard would rotate just like your Music App does? Well then this App is definitely one you should check out. Not only does it allow your Springboard to rotate, but it rotates everything that normally does not, including things like Youtube!
Intelliscreen - I'm sure the second you opened up Cydia, you saw this App. It is very popular because it allows you to put any information you want on the Lock Screen. This means you can instantly check your texts, emails,missed calls, and calender, without even unlocking your iPhone!
Syncronicity - This App is very useful for all of you who hate to wait for your iPod Touch or iPhone to be useable while it is syncing. With this new app, you know longer have to wait another second. It allows you to do anything you normally could, while the iPod Touch or iPhone is syncing! This includes things like makeing calls and playing games.
Freemoji- Have you ever wanted all those little emoticons you see everyone flaunting in the app store? This is the app for you.
BossPaper- The main feature is allowing the background of your device to change from picture to picture. It works very well as a substitute for winterboard. I used to use winterboard, but found that it took too much of the system memory therefore slowing down my ipod. This worked as a nice alternative. It also lets you control what kind of transition you have and dock settings.
ScreenRecorder - This nifty little App allows you to make high quality video on your iPod Touch or iPhones Screen. It is very easy to use, and very useful for making instructional videos.
iFile- This app allows you to search through your system files. It works very well if you need to delete something out of your ipod, or you're scoping for the location of something to SSH.
Open SSH- I believe this app to be a must as it allows you to add content to your device through your computer. This can be anything from Gameboy games to Winterboard Themes. Winscp is the windows version of an SSH client. This will require you to Google a guide on the internet.
iBlueNova- This is one of my favorite applications. It allows you to have bluetooth on your ipod touch or iphone. Not the crappy bluetooth that came with the ipod originally. The real deal. Nuff' Said.
GpSPhone- This is a gameboy advance emulator. For those of your that don't know it allows you to play gameboy advance games on your ipod touch. A very cool little App. There is a guide to get it here.
MxTube- This little App is your ticket to downloading all the Youtube Videos you can handle. All you have to do is choose what quality you want to download, it will automatically rip them from the Youtube Server. Very handly little App.
SnowLock - This tweak is very interesting if you dislike the Original "Slide to Unlock" button. It allows you to make an App your Lockscreen unlock button. Is very interesting to play with, and has a wow factor for your friends.
Make It Mine(MIM)- This App allows you to change the carrier name and banner of your idevice. While not having a real practical use, it does add a small personal touch to your ipod.
Cydelete- This nifty little App will allow you to delete Jailbroken apps just like you delete Appstores Apps. The other method to delete Apps that are jailbroken, is by deleting through the menu in Cydia or Rock. This is a huge time saver for those who want to test out different Apps.
Installous- This is one of the most popular Apps. It will allow you to have ANY App on the Appstore for free. It doesn't matter if the App is $10 or $20. It has a very clean and easy to use interface and there are few Apps that it will not work with.
Five Icon Dock/ Five Column Springboard- These two Apps add another icon to your dock at the bottom of your ipod, and add another column to your ipod's background respectively. Definitley must haves to get more room on your iPod Touch or iPhone.
afc2add - This is more a tweak to the file system, than an App. If you used something Jailbreakme.com or Spirit, then you can install this App to allow USB root access to your device.
Transform to iPod - This makes the iPod Touches, "Music" and "Video" buttons turn into a single "iPod" button like the iPhone. Not exactly revolutionary, but I still enjoy it.
I Browse - Alternate Safari Browser
Safari Download Manager - This awesome App is for all of you who want to use your iPhone or iPod Touch like a computer. It allows you to Download anything on the iPod Touch or iPhone, then, using iFile, you can watch or read any of it later.
Vibrus *iPhone Only*- This App gives a cool vibration feeling whenever keys are pressed. This is very interesting but can be a big battery waster. If you love this effect though, it could well be worth it.
